The BEST for BWO’s but also great for Sulpher and Trico nymphs as well. This is our “go-to” small mayfly nymph pattern.
Blue Winged Olives are such important species of Mayflies throughout the season and throughout the country and Kelly Galloup’s BWO Nymph is the best we have seen.
The proportions and materials on this fly make it the PERFECT choice when fish are eating these tiny nymphs…which is more often than you think. Not only have we been using it for BWO’s but also as a Sulpher nymph in the sizes 16-18 during late April and May around here. The #20 is not bad during the Trico hatch during the Summer as well.
