The Thin Mint Wooly Bugger is one of our top selling flies period. Crazy how this fly has such of a “cult” like following. No question that Wooly Buggers work, but this one seems to have some special juju going on.
A slightly slimmer profile on this pattern than most Wooly Buggers out there, but surely it’s the flash and color scheme? Olive, brown and black layered into the tail, along with some flashabou. Peacock herl and flashabou ribbed body with straight brown hackle and finished off with a nickel bead at the front.
Of course, this fly could be used for most any fish that swims in fresh water.
